Hi, I'm Mohamad.
My research is focused on statistical and machine learning topics on structure learning, network analysis, processes over graphs. My interest lies in solving real-world challenges.
I enjoy building models that are robust, scalable and efficient. Most importantly, models that are used by many.
News:
Congrats Mark Stanley for winning NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA).
Thrilled to announce that I received the Discovery Grant for 5 years alongside an ECR Supplement, from NSERC!
Welcome Mingze Li to the team. Mingze is working on novel approaches to rideshare pricing.
Welcome Simon Chatelain to the team. Simon is working on methods to infer graphical models on high-dimensional data.

Benchpress v2.7.0 is released. This version includes more than 55 causal and graphical algorithms. See some examples here.
A new paper (arXiv) details a state-of-the-art algorithm for sampling decomposable graphs. It enables the parallelization and distribution of inference for large-scale graphical problems across multiple compute nodes, allowing for the analysis of ultra-high-dimensional graphs.
